There’s a lot of confusion when it comes to Wedding Planning. Why do you need one? What if the venue has a coordinator? (Answer: They work for the venue and won’t be managing everything and everyone to make sure your day goes smoothly, and they definitely won’t be helping with any planning details beforehand!)

Q) What's the difference between Day-Of-Coordination and Month-Of-Coordination?
A) We, at Smiling Through Chaos, do not offer Day-Of. I've always been a believer that, “If you're going to do something, do it right," and I just do not believe that you can truly do the best job for the client with Day-Of. The Planner would show up and coordinate the day, but with Month-Of, we make sure to get to know the vendors involved, create and manage the timeline for the day, make sure we know YOU before your big day, and understand the vision you have for your wedding day. We also work on the day to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible. Please note, we only offer Month-Of for weddings as all other events require Full Planning only.
Q) If we already have the venue, should we still hire you for Full Planning or Partial Planning?
A) If you only have the venue, it still makes 100% sense to hire STC for Full Planning as we are able to work on all aspects of your wedding with this package, including the details that go along with your venue choice, such as menu finalizations. Full Planning also allows for unlimited emails and phone calls (within reason) whereas Partial Planning has a limited number of meetings and discussions. Additionally, Partial is created a la carte while Full is a package investment.
Q) What can having a Wedding Planner do for me?
A) First of all, if you hire the right one FOR YOU, you will have a friend for life. Most importantly though, you will have someone who has your back throughout the entire planning process, from negotiations to contract reviews to timeline management to using our experience in knowing who is great to work with and who may not be. Having the right Wedding Planner can mean enjoying being engaged. And isn’t that everything?!
