Sweet 16 vision
WE HAD ONE MONTH.
In one month, a venue was booked, linen was ordered, flowers designs were created, and so many other details were planned for this Sweet 16 to make Isabella’s dreams come true.
It started with a VISION.
BUDGETING FOR EVENTS AND WEDDINGS
When it comes to setting a budget for your big event or wedding day, there are a few major factors to consider:
best man question… in brides magazine
Can I have more than one best man? And what are the positives and negatives to choosing more than one to be by your side? Grooms, this one’s for you!
how to find a good event planner
Tips from a professional on how to find a good event planner:
1) Don’t just google “event planners” but really look at those reviews. What are they SAYING? What are they NOT saying? Think about what’s important to YOU and see if these reviews are saying anything that is actually important to you, not just to them. Additionally, you want to review them in a way where you can tell if they’re really new and just having their friends write testimonials or if they are legit.
choosing your photography style
The photography style you choose for your big day will showcase your wedding or event in a very specific way, so it’s super important to review the many styles of event photography before deciding on the one for yours. There’s no “best way” or “right way,” as it has to be what YOU are looking for.
SUBMERGED IN LOVE AT TEMPLE BETH AHM
This kosher wedding at Temple Beth Ahm needed to keep tradition while also adding that fun factor, with bright lighting details and drinks, submerged flowers and instruments on stage and on the dance floor.
should you work with a planner?
You deserve to be able to ENJOY the days leading up to your big event. You deserve to live your life and have an expert spend the time planning the best day ever for you.
You deserve that.
So let's talk about what you need to know about working with a Planner to determine if it's the best next step for YOU
smiling through chaos awarded the knot “best of weddings 2022” and wedding wire “couples choice awards 2022”
Smiling Through Chaos was thrilled to be awarded two major industry awards yet again this year. We’ve won Wedding Wire’s Couples Choice Award for 2022 - our sixth year in a row being awarded this honor! We’ve also been awarded The Knot’s Best of Weddings 2022, which we were also granted in 2021.
A few of my favorite things…or dresses!
It’s…engagement season! And that means you’ll be wedding dress shopping very soon!
Big trends I’ve been seeing for next year’s designs are huge bows, strapless, sleek with a pop of fabric, and a mix of textures and fabrics. The designers are BRINGING IT! No more boring bridal dresses; now you can have true DESIGNS that are both classy and artistic.
family in the wedding
Do you have to include family in your wedding party?
I was asked for my expert opinion on this (click below!), and if you don’t include family, you just have to be sure about your decision. You cannot take it back.
And this comes up all the time, even inviting certain family members to the wedding!
the difference in Planning all types of events
From mitzvahs to birthdays to weddings, and everything in between, planning events is something just LOVE. It’s in my blood. People always say they could feel my passion for the work from the first conversation they had with me and it made them even more excited to have their event. Whoo hoo! Nothing makes me happier than getting people excited to celebrate life.
Many Planners set a niche for themselves, “Wedding Planner,” “Party Planner,” “Mitzvah Planner,” “Event Planner” and more, and we could easily do that, but why stop the passion and excitement with just one type of event?!
But what are the similarities and differences in planning each type of event?
